Toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis is a pathological condition caused by a parasitic microorganism (Toxoplasma gondii).  Infection affects many body tissues including the brain, lungs and liver. When the retina becomes involved, sudden swelling may occur producing blurred vision. After healing, dense scarring results. Reactivation may occur producing additional lesions.
