Ophthalmic Photographers perform an assortment of tests to assist the physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. This position requires the use of specialized equipment to obtain fundus photos and other digital imagery. The photographer must be capable of doing venipuncture (IV injections) for special testing. These tests include fluorescein and ICG angiography. Additionally, photographers routinely perform ocular coherence tomography (OCT) and assist in various aspects of patient care. Traveling to different locations is a requirement. Previous experience in an ophthalmology practice would be preferred.
